Triin Väljaots is specialized in public procurement and dispute resolution. She has extensive experience in high profile procurement disputes. Her strength is consulting tenderers – her competences include representation in procurement for marine radio communication systems, trams, trains, and air transport. She consults clients throughout the proceedings, from the preparation of tenders to representation in the Appeals Committee and the administrative court in all instances. Her clients are different production companies as well as resellers, including Defence and Security industry. She is one of the authors of the Commentary on the Public Procurement Act and has published many articles in the field of public procurement.
Her dispute resolution experience includes representing clients in various civil procedures. Triin is one of the few attorneys, who has helped clients to achieve multiple vessel arrests followed by successful and swift debt collection. She has also successfully substantiated transfer of businesses. Triin has achieved great results in defamation cases, resulting TV channels to publish apologies and refuting incorrect statements.
Triin sometimes advises clients in family law matters such as custody of children and child support. While she generally prefers out of court solutions or settlements, custody of children is where she foremost seeks for an agreement between the parents. Triin also advises clients in dividing their property during separation or divorce.
Triin is a member of the Estonian Bar Association since 2012.
