Maris has worked in the area of law since 2004, she has been a member of the Estonian Bar Association since 2014. As a lawyer, Maris is specialized in the solution of various civil and administrative disputes both extra judicially and in court.

Maris has a long-term experience in counselling and training of client in the area of labour relations. She has counselled clients in matters related to the conclusion and termination of employment contracts, development of work procedure rules and various bonus systems, has successfully represented clients (both employees and employers) in labour dispute committee and court. Maris has also participated in conferences on labour law as a lector, and has carried out order-based trainings for companies.

In addition to the above, Maris has a wide experience in counselling for various real estate transactions, including matters related to acquisition and encumbrance of an immovable (mortgages and servitudes), lease and rental relations, disputes between common owners.

Maris has counselled a number of clients in matters related to family and succession, including divorce, division of common property, maintenance and custody of children, disputes between successors when dividing the estate.
